Meet the Team
CEC is made up of teachers and missionaries from the country of Mexico and the rest of North America, who have the same passion to equip people, not only through teaching but also walking together with the students. Their goal is to see a transformation from leaders to servant-leaders who are passionate about making an impact for Christ in their churches and communities. While a number of additional adjunct teachers and leaders are involved in the course itself, this is the full-time team committed to see the fulfillment of the CEC mission and vision.
Denver and Katie Janz
Directors
Denver and Katie, along with their two daughters Noel and Macy, have been part of CEC since 2020, Katie having been involved since its inception in 2010. Both come from families dedicated to ministry, pastoral and cross-cultural missions, and have taken on the role of directors with the passion of seeing the ministry flourish as men and women are trained to reach the most remote corners of Mexico.

Guillermo and Carmen Medina
Curriculum (Guillermo) and Hospitality (Carmen)
Guillermo and Carmen have three children, Rubí, Caleb, and Bryan (not pictured here) and have pastored a church in El Choyudo, Sonora for more than 20 years. Guillermo has been involved in CEC in various capacities since its inception, from teaching to helping provide direction for the ministry. They have now been involved full-time in CEC for three years.
Ryan Thiessen
Programming Coordinator
Ryan, originally from Canada, has been involved in ministry in Mexico for almost 20 years, a country he initially arrived at as part of a short-term mission trip. He joined CEC in 2012 and his participation has grown to include both administrative and teaching functions.

Jael Bautista
Administration
Jael, who was a student in 2021, joined the team shortly after graduating from CEC. She comes from the state of Oaxaca, in southern Mexico, where she has served with her family for years, her father being a pastor. While she works in administration, her greatest desire is to see men and women grow in their relationship with God during their time at CEC.
