Invest 15 weeks digging deeper into the Word of God
Starting each January, CEC offers an intensive, in-person ministry training course in San Carlos dedicated to equipping believers to dig deeper into the Word while being formed in Christ’s character in a community of students and teachers.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
There is no better way to learn than in a community with others who have the same goal alongside teachers who share biblical truths from their lives and by their examples. For 15 intensive weeks in CEC, the students will have the opportunity to dig deeper in the Bible while being equipped with practical tools for ministry and being challenged to grow alongside one another.
The days are full to take advantage of the short time together with approximately 300 hours of class time. But more than just studying, there are many opportunities for learning outside of the classroom as well: times to grow in one’s relationship with God, and challenges to put into practice what one is learning. With times of fellowship, worship, devotions, Bible reading, and personal time with God in addition to weekend ministry in local churches, there are many opportunities inside and outside of the classroom to grow personally and for each student to become better equipped for their ministry. Objectives
The program of CEC is designed to train and equip leaders with the aim to impact the local church in terms of spiritual growth, in these ways:
- To provide a general overview of the Bible, pointing them to Christ
- To stimulate personal and spiritual growth towards maturity in Christ
- To form disciples who live and transmit what they have learned from the Word of God
- To equip and train to properly use the Bible in preaching, teaching, counselling, etc..
Classes
Each class is Bible-based and taught by teachers who teach from experience in their respective areas. Some of these topics come in these three areas:
THE BIBLE: Hermeneutics, Panorama of the Bible Harmony of the Gospels, Acts, Firm Foundations, Grace, Spiritual Warfare
SPIRITUAL FORMATION: Spiritual Disciplines, Discipleship, Bible Reading, Mentoring, Desert Times
PRACTICAL TOOLS: Teaching, Evangelism, Homiletics, Small Groups, Worship Ministry, Peacemakers
Requirements
- 18 years or older.
- Baptized.
- Actively serving in your church or Christian organization. (Pastor, youth leader, giving discipleship, Sunday school teacher, small group leader, etc.)
- If married, it is recommended that both attend (in the case of it not being possible, please provide a written explanation along with your application.)
- Know how to read and write.
- A letter of recommendation from your pastor.
- Have a testimony that honours and glorifies God.

Dates and Cost
January 18, 2027 – April 30, 2027
The course is offered once per year, with the next course starting January 18, 2027 and ending on April 30, 2027. It is full time and requires that the students live onsite during the duration of the course at CEC.
$8000 MXN
The cost includes room and board as well as studies for the 15 weeks – it must be paid on the first day of the course. Travel costs to get there and back are the responsibility of each student. Upon returning the completed application prior to December 19, 2026, a discount of $500 MXN will be applied.
